2 FrameBuffer Description
FrameBuffer is realized as device under linux, it is abstrication for the graphics hardware, representing
the frame buffer in the display cards.By framebuffer device, the upper application may using a well
defined software interface to access the graphics hardware, but not need to take care of how the low
level graphics hardware works.For example, the upper application don't have to know how to read and
write the register of the display cards, nor have to know where the frame buffer district start from, all
these works is dealt with frambuffer, the upper application only pay attention to what it should do.
The advantage of FrameBuffer is that it is a low level usual device, and it supports many platforms,
it can works on x86 platforms, powerpc platforms, and m68k and sparc as well, it also work correctly on
many embedded devices. Many GUI software package such as Minigui also take FramBuffer for its
HardWare Abstrication Layer.
From the viewer of the users, frambuffer device has no difference from other devices.Framebuffer
devices resides under '/dev' directory, usual device name is fb*, here, * take the value from 0 to 31.
For usual computer system, 32 framebuffer devices are suffication.The most used framebuffer device is
'/dev/fb0'.
From the viewer of programmer, Framebuffer device is a file in fact, we could read and write
Framebuffer device file as we operate usual file, we could remap it into memory by mmap() function,
also read and set its parameters by using ioctl() function, and so on.
In order to start framebuffer on pc system, first of all, it should be supported by the kernel, usually , we
should recompile the kernel. Also, we should modify the start parameter, on my personal machine, I
modify the file /boot/grub/menu.lst, change the line below

what it means is that the resolution of the display is 800x600, the color depth is 16bits.

xp, I installed fedore core 7 on my machine, but the ethernet card is not discovered by the driver, ok , i
google the driver for linux
Solve methods:
I download the device driver named L2-linux-driver_new.rar, unzip it under windows xp , copy all
the files into linux , compile, error occurs:

It is such a spectacular and formidable architectural feat that anyone who comes to China should not miss it under any circumstances.
China's Great Wall is the world's longest architectural structure and is widely renowned as one of the seven great wonders of the world. The wall stretches 6,700 kilometers (4,163 miles) from the Jiayuguan Pass in Gansu Province to the Shanhaiguan Pass in Hebei Province. Like a gigantic dragon, this imposing wall meanders across mountains, spans vast plains and trudges through the barren deserts of China's northern interior. This amazing marvel of engineering took over 2,000 years to build. It is acclaimed to be a most magnificent miracle created by the Chinese people demonstrating the tenacity, diligence and wisdom of the Chinese people.














Construction of the Great Wall began early in the Warring States Period (475BC-221BC) when independent small states came into existence. In order to defend their territories, long walls were built along the borders. In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221BC-206BC), toppled the former states and unified China. To protect the country from intrusion of the nomadic Hun ethnic minority in the north, earlier separate walls were joined and extended dramatically. The walls at that time began at Linyao in Gansu Province and ended in Liaoning Province, reaching a total length of over 5,000 kilometers, hence it was known as the 'Ten Thousand Li Great Wall' (Li is a unit of length used by the Chinese and one li is equal to 0.5 kilometer.).
Thereafter, the Great Wall was restored and lengthened time and time again. The later walls were not a long and frail wall but were complete fortifications with more annexes such as: castles, watch towers and beacon towers. In the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), large-scale extensions generated the 'Great Wall of Ming', the ever longest wall in the history of China. The wall that we see today is primarily the result of a restoration that took place during the Ming Dynasty. However, some sections of the Great Wall fell into ruins.
Now, sections at Shanhaiguan Pass, Badaling, Simatai, Mutianyu and Jiayuguan Pass have become celebrated tourist resorts. The Badaling Great Wall, a typical section of the Great Wall, is the most famous place in China and is always thronged with visitors coming from all over the world.
